Charlie Sheen Joins Twitter

Charlie SheenCharlie Sheen may be taking his media rants to a whole new level. The actor joined Twitter on Tuesday, gaining 300,000-plus followers within hours and offering up a picture of one of his “goddesses” almost immediately. In his bio, Sheen describes himself as “an unemployed winner.”

“Just got invited to do the Nancy Grace show… I’d rather go on a long road trip with Chuck Lorre in a ‘75 Pacer…” Sheen tweeted on Tuesday night.

Sheen was as busy on Tuesday as he was on Monday. He called into Howard Stern's radio show, saying “I have to right this unconscionable wrong.” He added, “Many people are suffering and I’m the only guy who can effect a change.”

The Two and a Half Men actor is referring to the studio’s decision to cancel production for the remainder of the eighth season.

So, is Charlie Sheen Crazy or What?

Charlie Sheen says that he’s clean and focused following an “epiphanous awakening,” and when we figure out just what he means by that we’ll let you know. “I’m on a quest to claim absolute victory on every front,” he told Piers Morgan on CNN.

If victory means practically monopolizing the media, Sheen’s already there. The actor's publicist quit on Monday, saying he is “unable to work effectively” at his job, and it’s no wonder. Charlie Sheen has been calling TMZ, CNN, Good Morning America and -- it seems -- anyone else who’ll pick up the phone.

New customers immediately called in to sign up for Sirius, but many more were calling to renew canceled and suspended accounts that were put on hold while Stern negotiated his new contract.

Maybe he should have asked for even more money for the gig.

Courteney Cox and David Arquette

UPDATE: You can read Arquette’s apology for the interview here.

I may not know Courteney Cox, but I’m guessing she’s the type of girl who wouldn’t appreciate her estranged husband doing something like this … especially if he wants to reconcile.

One day after news of their separation leaked out, a bitter-sounding David Arquette decided to make his private marital issues public. And how did he choose to go about doing that? By talking to Howard Stern.

stopped recently to talk with Entertainment Tonight on the prospect of judging American Idol. The rumor has been flying for weeks that Stern is going to get the gig, though he says it hasn’t been offered to him and he doesn’t seem too keen to accept it. “The show’s in trouble without Simon Cowell, because he’s the only one with an opinion,” the radio star said of Idol‘s future - a future that, apparently, will not contain both Stern and new judge Ellen DeGeneres.

The talk show maven has that she won’t work with Howard Stern, and will in fact leave the show if he’s brought on board. In response, Stern is now saying that he won’t work with her, either.

Behind-the-scenes gossip at American Idol suggests that newest judge is making her presence felt in the form of outlandish demands and threats. And she seems so nice when the cameras are rolling.

Howard Stern Addresses American Idol Rumors

The media’s been going crazy since recent rumors of staffing changes at American Idol surfaced. Simon Cowell revealed weeks ago that he’ll be jumping the sinking FOX flagship, and rumor has it that he’ll reunited with Paula Abdul on his Stateside version of X-Factor. Meanwhile, the folks behind Idol are reportedly looking for his replacement - and the rumors suggest that .

On his Sirius radio program, Stern alluded to the rumors and added (in his usual ribald way) “there’s not a better job on the planet than judging that [expletive deleted] karaoke contest.” He then went on to say that he would do the show - if they offer $100 million. I don’t think that’s going to happen, so we can all take a big, deep breath of relief now.

According to a report by the New York Post, the former MADtv star attempted suicide by stabbing himself nine times over the weekend. It was his mother, who was stopping by to drop off some food, who found him in his Hoboken apartment.

Although Lange’s family and friends hoped to keep the issue private, some “scumbag” leaked the info to the press. This forced a “pissed off” Stern - who struggled to find the right words - to address the news about his sidekick today.
